  1. Brush Pick-Up Week

    May 20, 2019, All Day

    Place brush on the terrace by 7:00 a.m. with the cut ends toward the road. Please leave branches as long as possible as this will save you and our crews' time. Brush is considered limbs and branches from trees and large shrubs. All other woody vegetation such as plant stalks, small bush trimmings, etc. will not be collected. This type of material can be taken to the compost site on Highway Q. south of the Village. If you have a contractor trim or prune your trees or bushes, they are responsible for the removal of the brush. Collection begins Monday and is completed within the week when Public Works has gone through the entire Village.

  5. Drug Impairment for Training Educational Professionals (DITEP)

  7. Waunakee Bike Rodeo

    May 30, 2019, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM @ Arboretum Elementary School

    The Waunakee Police Department will be hosting its annual Bike Rodeo on Thursday, May 30th from 4:00pm to 5:30pm at Arboretum Elementary School. The Bike Rodeo is designed to promote safe riding habits and skills needed for young bike riders, ages 5-12. Free helmet fitting, free bike licensing and a bike technician will be on hand to help identify mechanical issues of the kid’s bikes. All participants will receive a prize! Prize tickets will be drawn after the event and prizes delivered to the school. No need to register or sign up. This is a free event, just show up and enjoy! *The Bike Rodeo may be canceled if there is inclement weather the day of the event. If you have any questions please contact WNPD School Resource Officer Erik Schmidt at 849-2109.

  8. Waunakee Community Band Concert

    Bring your picnic blanket or lawn chair and join the Waunakee Community Band for their first concert of the 2019 summer season. This marks the beginning of the 34th season of providing free musical entertainment for the community. The Waunakee Music Boosters will sponsor an ice cream social both before the concert and during the intermission.

    The Waunakee Village Center is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2019. To sign up for an appointment or for eligibility questions please call 1-800-GIVE-LIF(E) or go to www. redcrossblood.org. Volunteers are also needed to help aid the donors. Volunteer shifts begin at 11:45 a.m., 1:45 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. If you are unable to volunteer your time but would like to help out, consider donating snacks or beverages for the donors and volunteers.
